Our Wine Makers
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
They are all small winemakers but all very talented. They are all reducing the nonsense additives from wine, who revere the craftsmanship à l’ancienne - like before the 1970s when industrialization and globalization ruined wine with pesticides and additives. They all produce wine with natural yeasts, no or low intervention by being attentive to the spontaneous fermentation of the grapes, all harvested by hand and grown according to sustainable agricultural practices (organic or biodynamic).
These small producers come from all around Europe with a focus on France and Central Europe. Vinotopia looks for those who live on their lands, work with their hands, talk to their grapes. Vinotopia knows them and imports their production to Berlin without any middlemen.

Tomcsányi
On the top of a hungarian hill, a volcano called Somló near Balaton Lake, Árpád Tomcsányi is working in his 2.5 hectares of vineyard, which is like his garden in the most perfect harmony.
This gives very delightful wines comparable to jewels.

Since 2015, with his horse, Adrien de Mello has been looking after about 4 hectares in the French region of Anjou in the Loire Valley,

Drappier
The Drappier family estate was created in 1808 around a medieval abbey in Urville, Champagne. It is now managed by Michel Drappier using organic and natural practices such as little or no added sugar and sulfites.
Drappier is the first climate neutral champagne.

La Cendrillon
In the same family for 250 years, this wine estate located in the south of France, area of Corbières in Languedoc, is managed by Robert Joyeux. It is to him what we we owe the organic conversion of his vineyard in 2013.
He produces wines known for their freshness, balance, finesse and elegance.

La Marseillaise
Between Marseille and Nice, a few kilometers from the Mediterranean coast, near Toulon, Pierre and Fabienne Sautou have patiently transformed a practically abandoned wine estate, bought in 1995, into a biodynamic farm.
In 2017, they produced their first natural vintage certified Demeter and Vegan.
